At EduLET Africa, we believe that education should be accessible to everyone — regardless of physical or visual ability. We are dedicated to bridging the accessibility gap for blind and visually impaired students across Africa by providing innovative assistive technologies, learning solutions, and inclusive educational products.
Our mission is to ensure that no learner is left behind due to disability or lack of access to digital resources. Through collaboration with schools, special needs institutions, and organizations, we design solutions that enhance independence, participation, and learning outcomes for visually impaired learners.
We supply and configure a wide range of assistive devices, including:
Screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver) for reading digital text aloud.
Refreshable Braille displays for digital Braille reading and writing.
Braille embossers for printing learning materials in Braille format.
Audio learning devices for students who rely on auditory instruction.
These tools empower learners to navigate educational content independently and confidently.
EduLET Africa develops and customizes accessible learning management systems (LMS) that are compatible with assistive technologies. Our platforms include features such as:
Text-to-speech integration
Screen reader optimization
High-contrast and large-text interfaces
Keyboard-only navigation
This ensures that visually impaired learners can fully participate in online learning environments.
We work with educators and curriculum developers to create and distribute content in accessible formats, including:
Braille books and digital Braille files
Audio lessons and podcasts
Tactile diagrams and maps
Accessible PDFs and Word documents
By converting existing content and creating new accessible materials, we make learning resources inclusive and equitable.
EduLET Africa provides training for teachers on how to use assistive technologies and integrate inclusive practices in classrooms. We also guide schools on setting up accessible computer labs and digital libraries for special needs education.
Through our assistive technology initiatives, visually impaired students across Kenya and Africa are gaining access to the same educational opportunities as their peers. Many learners are now able to access digital courses, complete assignments independently, and improve literacy through Braille and audio-based tools.
EduLET Africa is committed to creating an inclusive digital learning ecosystem where every student — regardless of ability — can learn, grow, and succeed.
